Julien et Sophie Ilbert from Combel la Serre are operating this quality estate of 22 hectares from Cahors with a lot of precision and love, very regular quality!

Grape variety and soil: 100% Malbec (auxerrois) Soil, Argilo Calcaire (Clay with Limestone)

Taste: Ripe black cherry’s in a juicy style, complex with a fine body, good balanced accidity, fine tannins in the long after taste

Wine pairing: Nice charcuterie, red meats, farmer chicken, duck and game, cheese platter or a fine BBQ with friends

Serving Temperature: 16-17 c, medium or big sized red wine glass type Bordeaux. Open 2 hours in advance and decant before serving, drink now or keep untill 2027

Vinification: Natural vinification soft extraction on concrete tanks on low temperature, maturation in barrels 600 liters for 12 months, local yeasts low in sulphite <50mg/l  alcohol content: 13%
