Jean Baptiste Roux from Pomport “Bergerac” is a young very talented producer who learned to make wine from Mathias and Camille Marquet Château Lestignac and is a close friend of Benoit Perissé of Fontaine de Grives. all his wines are organic, biodynamic and natural and very precisely made, low quantities, only great stuff here

Region: Bergerac, Vin de France

Grape variety and soil: 15% Merlot 85% Cabernet Franc Soil: Argilo calcaire with limestone bedrock

Taste: Juicy but powerful, cherry fruit, complexity, in the style of a great Beaujolais, length with nice medium body with freshness and fine tannins

Wine pairing: Charcuterie, veggie food like a lentil salad, duck , barbecue, lamb and cheeses

Serving Temperature: 14-16°C, medium or big sized red wine glass type Burgundy. Open in advance or decant before drinking, drink now or keep until 2026

Vinification: Natural vinification local yeast’s under carbonic gas with the ripe Merlot underneath de Cabernet Franc. Not filtered or fined, no sulfites added. Alcohol content: 12% SO2 total<25mg
