One of the regional leading wine producers of the Bergerac is Christian Roche of Domaine de l’Ancienne Cure, represents already the 5th generation of this family estate (Founded 1935), and produces award winning organic white, red and sweet wines

Grape variety and soil: 70% Sauvignon Blanc 30% Sémillon Soil, Argilo Calcaire (Clay with limestone)

Taste: Pure and fresh styled wine. With white fruits like citrus fruit, apples, white berries, fresh cut herbs and box leaves, nice body and accidity and minerality

Wine pairing: Aperitif, shellfish and light fish dishes, smoked fish, goat cheese

Serving Temperature: 10-12 c , medium sized white wine glass, drink now untill 2025

Vinification: Harvesting the grapes at maximum ripeness, soaking on their skins for 30 hours, pressing and termo controled fermentation at 14 c for 22 days on stainless steel. Maturing on the lie (fine sediment) with regular bâtonnage (stirring) no added sulphor after the fermentation, natural vinification, alcohol content 13,5%
