Description

Jean-Luc Matha creates very fine and pure Organic Wine’s from the local grape Mansois on the steep slopes of the Marcillac wine region situated in the most eastern part of the South West of France near the volcanic plateau of the Auvergne

Region: Sud-Ouest, AOC Marcillac

Grape variety and soil: 100% Mansois, (same grape as Fer Savadou Bergerac/Bordeaux ou Braucol Gaillac) 38hl/ha, Hand picked Soil, Argilo Calcaire

Taste: Deep black and red fruits like black berries, pomegranate, complex and layered but easy to drink. Fine acidity and tannic structure. Medium body in a juicy style with freshness good lenght with some minerals

Wine pairing: Serious but easy to drink red wine, with charcuterie and cheese platter, duckbreast and other red meats,

Serving Temperature: 14-16 c, medium or big sized red wine glass type Burgundy. Open in advance or decant 1 hour before serving aging potential: 2026

Vinification: Natural closed vinification with local yeasts in stainless steel, riping in big vats, no oak, alcohol content: 12% Low in SO2 <40 mg total
