Laurent Marre a former sommelier and épicurien Francois Sudreau a local truffle and duck producer started the Domaine Le Vent des Jours at Villeseque on the plateau of Cahors in 2018, meticulous working in the high altitude vineyards (300m) and in the cellar for the most pure wines. Nathalie the wife of Laurent ploughs the vineyards with several horses. Working Naturally with Biodynamic methods, and permaculture like lavender, olives and honey bee’s. this list the Domaine to watch

Region: AOC Cahors

Grape variety and soil: 100% Malbec Soil, Sandy rocky soils, with in some parts argilo Calcaire (Clay with Limestone)

Taste: Primary, ripe black and red fruits like cherries and blackberries, powerful and juicy, complexity, some garrique, length with fine tannins.

Wine pairing: Steak and foie gras, game and venison, duck, cheeses

Serving Temperature: 16°C, medium or big sized red wine glass type Bourgogne. Open 2 hours in advance or decant before serving, drink now or keep until 2028+

Vinification: Natural vinification with local yeasts on concrete vats, maceration in layers whole bunch and loose grapes and aging on it’s lees for several months. Not filtered or fined, no sulfites added Alcohol content: 13,5% SO2 total<30mg
