Description
The Amoreau Family started already in 1610 this legendary Estate, 13 generations of experience, tradition, and biodynamic farming you can feel this energy in their magnificent wines, always top every vintage. If you have the opportunity visit the Château with it’s more than 3000 year old mini Stonehenge and other menhirs. The 100 hectares of this Château consist of 50% vines (horse ploughed) and 50% of nature, lakes, bees and other animals, forest. And in the near future they start working in permaculture, and the use of forgotten grape variety’s because of the climate change.

Grape variety and soil: 85% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% CabernetFranc, 1% Malbec and 1% Carménère, all hand picked Soil, Argilo calcaire on a Limestone bedrock 100 m altitude
Taste: Complex and very elegant and refined with a lot of juice, black and red fruit like cassis and gooseberries, dried raisins, forest floor an mushrooms, power and stucture, great length great fine tannins and always juicy
Wine pairing: refined cuisine, red meats, carré and lamb filet, pigeon, when aged more than 8-10 years game, pressed cheeses Stilton or Gouda
Serving Temperature: 16-17 c, big sized red wine glass type Bordeaux. if possible decant before drinking, Drink now until 2031+ when well kept in good cellar
Vinification: Natural vinification slow and long maceration, local yeasts, riping on it’s lies for 24 months on big oak barrels of 50 hl and a few used barriques., no filtering or fining low in sulphite <35mg alcohol content: 13%
