Julien Auroux from Domaine Julien Auroux is a young wine producer (7th Generation) based in the little village of Boisse in the most eastern part of the Bergerac region. He is working very precise and experiments a lot to improve his wines every year. His relative cool terroir rich in limestone is one of the best from this region and produces elegant and mineral wines.

Grape variety and soil: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon 30 hl/ha Soil, Argilo Calcaire (Clay with white Limestone)

Taste: Pure full bodied, rich and complex and elegant wine. al about cassis and blackberries and spices and some ripe red peppers, mineral and great tannins, long and lingering after taste, no oak

Wine pairing: Red meats, stews, game, hard ripened cheeses

Serving Temperature: 16-17 c, big sized red wine glass. Open 2 hours in advance or decant before serving, drink now or keep until 2027

Vinification: Natural vinification with a long maceration of 6-8 weeks on concrete tanks riping for 18 months in cuves, local yeasts, not filtred, low in SO2 <25mg alcohol content 14,5%

Culture: Organic, label AB

La Revue de Vins de France: Cimes dans la Brume 2018 scored 93/100 in the latest issue february 2021. Most promissing producer 2017 and 2018 in the Bergerac region, Coup de Coeur for his wines in 2014
