Young producer Simon Busser produces a few of the most natural wines in the Cahors region and masters his very old vines of Malbec like a wizzard, but also experiments with some new wine grapes for the region like Pinot Noir, Gamay and Savagnin, all hand picked and ploughing with a horse

Millésime: 2019

Grape variety and soil: 100% Malbec very old vines, hand picked Soil, Argilo Calcaire with old layers of limestone under rock, “micro climat of the single de Prayssac, surrounded on both sides of the river Lot”

Taste: Starts reductive so you need to give the wine some air (decanter). Pure black and red fruit like cherries and red currants, dark chocolat in a juicy fresh natural style (a little folatile acid), real Malbec elegant but powerful and vineous soft tannins and lingering mineral aftertaste, No oak or vanilla taste

Wine pairing: your natural glou glou with friends and red meats, stews (beef, lamb or game) magret and confit de canard, pigeon, cheeses like fresh or ripened Brebis (scheep)

Serving Temperature: 16 c, big sized red wine glass type Burgundy or Bordeaux reductive so you need to decant the wine 4 hours before drinking, Drink now or keep until 2026-2029

Vinification: Natural vinification slow and long maceration, local yeasts on concrete tanks, riping on it’s lies for a 12-18 months, no filtering or fining  low in sulphite <15mg/l no sulfites added, alcohol content: 12,5%
