Young producer Simon Busser produces a few of the most natural wines in the Cahors region and masters his very old vines of Malbec like a wizzard, but also experiments with some new wine grapes for the region like Pinot Noir, Gamay and Savagnin, all hand picked and ploughing with a horse

Millésime: 2019

Grape variety and soil: 100% Malbec from the best plot with very old vines, hand picked Soil, Argilo Calcaire with old layers of limestone under rock, “micro cilmat of the single de Prayssac, surrounded on both sides of the river Lot”

Taste: Starts reductive so you need to give the wine some air (decanter). Big wine with black and red fruit like cherries, Quit complex with dark chocolat, incence and asian spices in a powerful but juicy natural style, real Malbec powerful but elegant a little bit of oak and vineous with great tannins and lingering mineral aftertaste.

Wine pairing:  red meats, stews (beef, lamb or game) magret and confit de canard, pigeon, old cheeses

Serving Temperature: 16 c, big sized red wine glass type Bordeaux reductive so you need to decant the wine 1 hour before drinking, Drink now or keep until 2028+

Vinification: Natural vinification slow and long maceration, local yeasts on concrete tanks, riping in oak barrels 600liters on it’s lies for 18-24 months, no filtering or fining  low in sulphite <15mg/l no sulfites added, alcohol content: 14%
